"The JP173 has a short valve action which is very good. As with the rest of the range the finish is again immaculate and, once again, it looks right. The valves are quite light but more than capable of performing the function.
Tuning is very good throughout the instrument's range, but this is a very free blowing instrument and ideal for beginners. The high range is particularly superb. The instrument has an exceptionally good tone that would embarrass much more expensive models."
